Yoshi’s Island DS, later released in Japan as Yoshi Island DS (ヨッシー アイランド DS, Yosshī Airando Dī Esu), is a platformingvideo game developed by Artoon for the Nintendo DS. Published by Nintendo, it was released in North America and Australasia in November 2006, in Europe in December 2006, and in Japan in March 2007.[1] It is the sequel to the 1995 SNES game, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. Announced at Nintendo’s E3 press conference in May 2006,[2] the game was well received by critics, scoring an average of 81% on Metacritic’s aggregate.[3] The game was originally to be titled Yoshi’s Island 2, though its name was changed one month before its North American release. On April 1, 2015, the game was made available for the Wii U via the Virtual Console service shortly after a Nintendo Direct presentation.[4]
Yoshis (referred to as Yoshisaurs in the Super Mario World cartoon, and alternatively pluralized ’Yoshies’ in the original Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island) are a sapient species of omnivorous dinosaur that first appeared in Super Mario World. They later starred in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Yoshi’s Story, Yoshi Touch & Go, Yoshi’s Island DS, Yoshi’s New Island, Yoshi’s Woolly. The gang of low-poly Yoshis are coming! Has to be one of the lankiest iterations of Yoshi I’ve ever seen. It looks like a poorly made Gamecube model of Yoshi that’s so polygonal to the point it’s comparable to a N64 model. Yoshi’s Island DS’s gameplay is the same as the previous game, with some additions. Just like in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island the player guides various colored Yoshis through side scrolling stages.[6] Yoshi can jump and hover (flutter jump) for a short time, eat enemies and turn them into eggs (which can be used for things like hitting switches and defeating distant enemies) and pound the ground (to smash crates, for example).[5] Some stages offer Yoshi the ability to morph into vehicles for a short time.[6] Like the original Yoshi’s Island, the DS game differs from many platforming series in that Yoshi does not have a life bar; when Yoshi is hit, the baby he is carrying falls off his back and Yoshi must retrieve him or her before a timer expires (unless Yoshi falls on something that torments him instantly, such as a lava pit or a spike field).[5]
What makes Yoshi’s Island DS different is the addition of five babies for Yoshi to carry, each bestowing a different ability — Baby Mario allows Yoshi to dash and makes special ’M’ blocks appear, and can grab Super Stars to become Super Baby Mario, and grants ricocheting eggs; Baby Peach allows Yoshi to float and fly on wind currents and grants a more forgiving timing to use Yoshi’s flutter jumping abilities effectively; Baby Donkey Kong can grab and swing on vines and ropes, grants a special dash attack, allows Yoshi’s eggs to explode as per Yoshi’s Story (but they do so on impact) and allows Yoshi to push objects faster; Baby Wario uses his magnet to attract metal objects and allows Yoshi’s eggs to bounce; and Baby Bowser spits fireballs, but the Yoshi carrying him cannot make eggs, though the eggs Yoshi already carries can bounce. The last three babies slow down Yoshi’s movement and make the timing for his flutter jumping less forgiving.[5][7] The need to switch babies at key points adds a puzzle element to the game.[7]
The Nintendo DS’s two screens act as one tall screen;[6] however, in practice, this essentially just gives the player a better view of the surroundings and, save for one boss battle, (Hector the Reflector, where the bottom screen acts as a mirror through which to see Hector during the battle) only provides the benefit of being able to see more (above) and, when the player is on the top screen, below.[5] The game does not make use of the bottom screen’s touch sensitivity for basic gameplay, though it is an option for selecting levels and in some mini-games.[5] Each of DS’s five worlds has two bosses, each with a weakness that must be identified and exploited. Most of the time, these are simply giant-sized versions of normal enemies, though some are more inventive.[7]
Flowers and coins, as well as stars, are scattered around the game’s stages. These are totaled at the end of each stage and a score is given depending how many of each were collected[5] (a maximum of 30 stars, 20 red coins and 5 flowers). Sufficiently high scores are required to unlock one of the two sets of secret levels[5] (the other set being unlocked upon completing the game, similar to the GBA remake of the original game). Special character coins are also introduced. Missing from the game are the power-ups of sorts — like the ability to spit seeds by eating watermelons — which were present in the original.[7] The fire breathing ability is retained though: Yoshi can use it when he snags a torch or fireball with his tongue. This allows him to shoot streams of fire up to three times. Keys found in the stages unlock mini-games and doors that would be closed otherwise.[5][6]Plot[edit]
As in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, Baby Mario and the Yoshi clan must rescue Baby Luigi, who was snatched by Bowser’s minion, Kamek, who also wants to kidnap every baby around the world. However, this time the Yoshis have the combined assistance of both Baby Peach and Baby Donkey Kong, as well as the stork, who escaped Kamek’s botched capture. They later join with Baby Wario and Baby Bowser, who offer their specialized abilities so that the group may proceed.[5] However, Baby Wario’s lust for treasure leads him to abandon the group, while Baby Bowser is captured by Kamek (who is actually the future Kamek that appears throughout the forts and castles), and later kicked out by the Adult Bowser, who came from the future, because of his baby counterpart insulting him. Baby Bowser then joins the group until he notices Kamek is after him, leaving Yoshi and the other babies to continue their journey.
Much later in the game, Kamek’s sinister plan for kidnapping the babies around the world is revealed. He and Bowser traveled back in time in search of the ’star children’ - seven babies whose hearts possess unimaginable power necessary for him to conquer the universe. Despite kidnapping all of the babies, they could not find a single star child. Yoshi’s group later arrives at Bowser’s castle and find Baby Wario and Baby Bowser, arguing over the treasure from Bowser’s castle. They later join the group and as they arrive at the final room, Baby Bowser betrays them, claiming that Yoshi and the other babies wanted Bowser’s treasure in his castle. Yoshi easily defeats him and Kamek arrives, along with Bowser, angered at what Yoshi did to his infant self.
Despite this, the babies and Yoshis prevail in both defeating Bowser, and forcing Kamek and Bowser to retreat to their present time. Yoshi and the babies then retrieve Baby Luigi and the other babies. Bowser’s castle then self-destructs, but Yoshi and the other babies (with the help of the other storks carrying all of the babies) escape unharmed. The storks continue to bring all the babies back to their respective homes.
In a post-credits scene, six of the star children are revealed to be Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, Baby Donkey Kong, Baby Wario and Baby Bowser. Immediately thereafter, the seventh and final star child is revealed to be a newly hatched Baby Yoshi, who is also strongly implied to be the very same Yoshi that the grown up Mario Bros. would go on to rescue and ally with in Super Mario World and subsequent Mario games.
Bumpty is a bouncy blue penguin enemy appearing in the Yoshi series. Bumpty first appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, first appearing in the level Ride the Ski Lifts. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. When Blue Yoshi and Baby Mario reach the bridge on which Hookbill is fought, a fog envelops the area, dissipating on the other side. Blue Yoshi and Baby Mario then encounter a normal Koopa Troopa and Kamek, who casts his magic on the Koopa. The Koopa Troopa retreats into his shell, which grows. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Huffin Puffins are always in a group of one parent and a couple of juveniles. If Yoshi hits the mother, she will run in the opposite direction, and Yoshi is able to take the children. Bumpties are a race of penguin-like creatures that first appeared in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. They are usually found in icy regions. They are usually found in icy regions. Yoshi’s Island DS was announced at E3 2006 under the name Yoshi’s Island 2,[2] originally featuring only baby versions of Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong and Wario.[2] The developer, Artoon, has made one other Yoshi game — Yoshi’s Universal Gravitation — for the Game Boy Advance. Universal Gravitation veered away from the ’Nintendo’ design; but for DS, Artoon stuck close to the original concept.[7]

Yoshi’s Island DS received positive reviews, being given high scores by some of the most prominent video game critics. These include gaming websites IGN and GameSpot, who gave it 8/10 and 9.1/10 respectively.[5][7] GameSpot’s review commented that the developers have ’produced a sequel that seems fresh and new while remaining every bit as awesome as the original.’[5] Multimedia website IGN called it ’a solid recreation of the Yoshi’s Island elements in a two-screen-high format,’[7] and GamePro in their review said that ’it’s fun and light-hearted play.’[6] Reviewers were particularly pleased with how the core gameplay elements are the same as in the previous game. GamePro hails it as having ’the classical 2D side-scrolling action and colorful pastel artwork that brought Nintendo to prominence,’[6] while IGN — although impressed with the game in general — wonders whether or not the developers ’stuck too close to the established design in this new game,’ because having played the previous game ’ruins a lot of the surprises.’[7] Other critics regard this as the best portable Yoshi’s game, with the exception of the Super Mario Advance remake of the original Yoshi’s Island because, in their context, ’(Yoshi) Topsy-Turvy was not there and (Yoshi) Touch & Go was incomplete.’Welcome Back To Yoshi’s Island!
One problem critics identified is the blind spot created by the gap between the Nintendo DS’s two screens. IGN accepts that this blind spot is necessary for aiming eggs properly but still describe it as ’bothersome.’[7]GameSpy’s reviewer calls it ’a pain’ and expresses frustration at being hit by an enemy hiding in this gap.[10] On the whole, reviewers were pleased with the way the extra babies have been implemented,[5] but IGN felt that Baby Wario was ’a last minute addition that wasn’t tested properly.’[7] They call his magnet ’wonky,’ and says it ’misses items that are right next to him.’[7]
Yoshi’s Island DS was given GameSpot’s ’Editor’s Choice’ rating,[5] and reached the final round for ’Best Nintendo DS game.’[13] The game sold more than 300,000 copies in its first week of release in Japan.[14] As of March 31, 2008, Yoshi’s Island DS has sold 2.91 million copies worldwide.[15]Super Smash Bros. Lords of Harmondale
*The game begins on Emerald Isle. You party is taking part in a scavanger hunt, with the winner taking posession of Harmondale Castle.
*Before fighting enemies on the island, click on the Day of the Gods Pedastal on a hill north of the town. The Day of the Gods spell will make your party quite powerful and you shouldn’t have any problem dealing with the enemies on the island.
*You need to find six items to win the scavanger hunt. Show them to Thomas the judge in Markham’s headquarters on the easten edge of the town and he will mark them off your list.
*The red potion is an easy item to find. Buy one from a shop in town or make it yourself by using some Windowsweep Berries. In your inventory, left click on the berries to pick them up and then right click on an empty potion bottle to make a red potion.
*You can find a Seashell in one of the crates in the swampy area on the northwest corner of the island. You can also buy one for 100 gold from Sally who is standing outside of the Dragon Cave north of the town.
*Ailyssa the Bard will sell you her Lute for 500 gold.
*Enter the cave that leads to the Temple of the Moon on the hill north of the town and south of the dragon cave. You will find a Wealthy Hat in a chest in the northwest corner of the temple.
*Speak to Sal Sharktooth nearby. He will demand you give him the Wealthy Hat. Refuse to give it to him and he will attack you. Take the Longbow from his body. You can also find a Longbow in the Dragon Cave.
*Enter the library in the Temple of the Moon. There is a secret door in the northeast corner. Behind it you will find a Floor Tile.
*Once Thomas the judge has marked off all the items, speak to Lord Markham and he will award you with the deed to the castle.
*Enter the ship off of the docks at the south end of town and click on the cabin. You will then sail to your new lands.
*Click on the entrance to Casle Harmondale and the butler will greet you. He will ask you to clear out the goblins inside the castle.
*Enter the castle and defeat all the goblins. You can’t enter the throne room yet.
*Enter the On The House taven at the east end of the town. Speak to the butler and he will congratulate you on clearing the goblins out of the castle. He will suggest you speak to the dwarves in Stone City and ask for their help in repairing the castle.
*Head south to the Barrow Downs and enter Stone City near the center of the area.
*Enter the throne room and speak to Hothfarr IX, the Dwarven King. He will agree to help you if you save some dwarves in the Red Dwarf Mines who were turned to stone when Medusas overran the mines. He will give you an Elixer to cure them.
*Travel west to the Bracada Desert and enter the Red Dwarf Mines in the northeast corner of the area.
*Throughout the top level of the mine you will find several stone statues. Click on them to restore them to normal and they will join you. Save all seven dwarves and then leave the mines.
*Return to the Dwarven King in Stone City with all the rescued dwarves in tow and he will agree to repair Harmondale Castle. Furthermore, he will recognize you as the true lords of Harmondale and will send out emissaries to the other courts.
*Return to Harmondale and you will find that the castle has been cleaned up and repaired.
*Enter the throne room and you will find two emmisaries. Ellen Rockway will invite you to Erathia to meet with Queen Catherine as soon as possible. Likewise, Alain Hani will invite you to Pierpont in the Tularean Forest to meet with his king.
*Go to Steadwick in Erathia and meet with Queen Catherine. She will ask you to rescue Loren Steel who is being held prisoner by the elves in the Tularean Caves.
*There are three different ways to proceed from here:
*First, you can go to the Tularean Caves in the Tularean Forest and rescue Loren Steel. In a chest you will find some directions to the prison cell. You can also look at my map to find the way through. Return to Queen Catherine in Castle Gryphonheart with Laren Steel and she will reward you with 5000 gold.
*Second, you can speak to the Elven King in Navan Castle in the Tularean Forest and tell him what Catherine asked you to do. He will send a fake Laren Steel along with you. Return to Queen Catherine in Gryphonheart Castle and she will believe the fake Laren Steel is the real one. Return to the Elven King for a 5000 gold reward.
*Third, you can just ignore the quest.
*Meet the Elven King in Navan Castle in the Tularean Forest. He will ask you to steel the Riverstride Plans from Fort Riverstride.
*Again, there are three ways you can handle this:
*First, you can enter Fort Riverstride in Erathia and steal the Riverstride Plans as the king asked. The plans are hidden in a vault on the lower level. To get to the lower level, there is a secret door on the upper level or you can enter the fort from a secret entrance under the bridge. Return to the Elven King with the plans for a 5000 gold reward.

*In the area through the west arch, there are three buttons and a lever on both the west and east sides of the area. Press both of the center buttons and then pull one of the levers to reveal the chest holding the West Pillar Key.
*In the area through the central arch, step up to the wall in the southwest corner of the room and the floor will rise to bring to the room where the Central Pillar Key can be found. Step on the same floor tile again to descend.
*In the area through the east arch, head straight north and walk through the curtain. Press the button to use the lift. Press the button on each of the four pools to drain the water from the pool at the back of the room and jump into the hole there to reach the room with the East Pillar Key.
*Return to the main room and click on all three pillars to open the path to the exit.
*Speak to Gavin Magnus again and he will congratulate you on your success. He will also ask you to speak to his advisors.
*Go to the east end of Celeste and speak to all four advisors. Three of them will have quests for you.
*Crag Hack, one of the advisors, will ask you to investigate the mysterious disappearances in Tatalia. He suspects vampires.
*Travel to Tatalia and enter the Wine Cellar in the center of the main town.
*Click on the wine rack in the northwest corner of the first room to reveal a passage deeper into the vampires’ lair.
*Defeat the Elder Vampire in the room to the north. Return to Crag Hack in Celeste for a large reward.
*Resurecta, another advisor of Celeste, will ask you to bring both Altar pieces of light and dark to her so she can recombine them.
*The altar piece in the Temple of the Dark is by far the more difficult of the two to get. Enter The Pit from the Hall of the Pit in the Deyja Moors.
*Go through the cavern in the southeast corner of the first area to move to the second area. Reenter the cavern again to move to the third area. Follow the tunnel and go north to reach the Temple of the Dark.
*Go to the back of the altar straight ahead and click on a button on its base. The altar will slide forward allowing you to pick up the Altar Piece from the chest underneith.
*Return to Celeste and enter the Temple of the Light in the northwest corner. Since you are following the Path of Light, the creatures in this temple will not harm you.
*Click on the wall in the northeast corner of the first room to open a secret door. Continue through the temple to the northern end where you will find a star shaped altar in the middle of the room.
*Climb up to the balcony of this room and at the west, north, and east sides you will find three tiles on each side representing the sun, moon, and stars. Click on the sun tile on the west side, the moon tile on the north side, and the stars tile on the east side. Click on the altar in the center of the room to reveal a secret chamber in the north wall.
*Take the Altar Piece from the chest and return with both Altar Pieces to Resurecta in the northeast corner of Celeste.
*Sir Caneghem, a third advisor of Celeste, will ask you to raid Castle Gloaming and take their Soul Jars.
*Enter The Pit from the Hall of the Pit in the Deyja Moors.
*Enter the cavern in the southeast corner of the first area to arrive at the second area. Turn back and reenter the cavern to go to the third area, and then again to reach the fourth and final area of The Pit where you will find Castle Gloaming.
*Take the north passage in the first large room to reach the second large room. Use the stairs on either side of the room to go up to the balcony.
*Enter the room on the west side of the room. At the bottom of the stairs you will find a chest that contains the Case of Soul Jars.
*Return to Sir Caneghem in Celeste with the Soul Jars and he will take them off your hand.
*After you have completed the quest of the three other advisors, speak to the forth Advisor, Robert the Wise. He will ask you to take the Control Cube from Tolberti, his conterpart for the Necromancers.
*Return to The Pit. Tolberti makes his home in one of the hostels on the west side of the city.
*Enter Tolberti’s House and attack him. He is a very difficult enemy and will take a long time to defeat. To beat him, I continually saved my game every time I scored a hit, and reloaded when he healed himself or eradicated one of my party members.
*Return to Robert the Wise with the Control Cube. He will teach every member of your party the Blaster skill.
*Speak to Resurecta in Castle Lambent and she will ask you to go to the Land of the Giants and defeat Xenofex in the devil colony there.
*To get to the Land of the Giants, enter Stone City in the Barrow Downs. From there, pass through the Nighon Tunnels to Thunderfist Mountain.
*On the north side of Thunderfist Mountain, you will find the entrance to the Tunnels to Eofol which will take you to the Land of the Giants.
*Enter Colony Zod on the west side of the area.
*Coninue through the area to the northwest corner and take the lift up to the next level.
*Push all four buttons in the next room and you will be able to continue to the prison cells to the west.
*Enter the southeast cell and step on the tile next to the ledge and you will be lifted up to the ledge. Click on the hanging cage to free Roland Ironfist. He will give you the Colony Zod Key.
*Return to the main hallway and you will find that a new corridor has opened up.
*At the end of the corridor, take the lift on the north end of the room to go up to the next level.
*Click on the button in the east room and use the Telekenesis spell to push the button in the west room. This will unlock the door on the south end of the room.
*Use the lift to go up to the highest level and click on the door to open it with the Colony Zod Key. In the next room you will find Xenofex.
*After you have killed Xenofex, return to Resurecta in Castle Lambent in Celeste and she will tell you who she and the other advisors really are and what their goal is.
*Speak to Resurecta again and she will ask you to enter her ship, the Lincoln, and retrieve the Oscillation Overthruster.
*Take the Wetsuits from the chests outside of the throne room and travel to Avlee.
*Take off all your equipment and then put on the wetsuits. If one of your characters refuses to wear the wetsuit, then you must still have something equiped. The only things you can use while wearing the wetsuits are Blasters.
*Jump into the water and continue to the west side of the area. Although you are actually walking under the water, it will appear like you are walking on top of it. Go to the west end of the area to travel to the Shoals.
*Although the sharks in the Shoals aren’t that difficult, you aren’t wearing any equipment and cannot cast spells, so I suggest you avoid the enemies and keep going northeast to the Lincoln.
*As soon as you enter the Lincoln, take off the wetsuits and put all your old equipment back on.
*The ship isn’t powered up yet, so the only door that will open is the one in the southeast corner of the hanger. Keep going east and at the end of the hallway, step on the lift to go up to the main power room.
*Click on the monitor to restore power to the ship. Now all the doors will open for you and various control panels will also work.
*At the south end of the main hold, you will find doors that lead to the bridge. Click on the small panel beside the doors to open them.
*Click on the large object in the center of the bridge to pick up the Oscillation Overthruster.
*Return to Resurecta in Celeste with the Oscillation Overthruster and she will be able to open the gateway that leads to other worlds.

Heroes 1 takes place in a land called Enroth. You play one of four heroes, the knight Lord Ironfist, the barbarian Lord Slayer, the sorceress Queen Lamanda or the warlock Lord Alamar. The each have unique abilities and access to different creatures from their castle.

Objective: Take over the central town.
This is a straight forward battle between the four heroes on a fairly small map. To win you need to capture the central town.Each of the heroes starts with one castle on one of the arms of the island. Each hero starts close to a Sawmill and Ore Mine but for the precious resources you’ll need to break into the center of the island. The precious resources are needed to build the structures required for your level 6 units.
There’s no need to take out the enemy heroes but you can if you want to. It will help you to build an army quicker if you take over at least one of the opposing hero’s castles.
The Dragons to the east of the Gateway town protect the Obelisks that show the location of the hidden artifact. There are 5 Dragons in this encounter so make sure you have enough units to deal with them.
The central town is protected by a single Dragon. When you’re ready kill the Dragon and then mop up the few smaller units inside the town itself.The Archipelago
Objective: Conquer the map
Each of the heroes begins on an island with one Castle. There are two other towns on the island of the same type that you should try to take over fairly quickly. You should also be able to find the resource that you need to build your 6th level unit somewhere on your starting island.
Each island has a portal that will teleport you to one of the other islands randomly. After a little while enemy heroes will start using the portals but the first heroes will probably arrive by boat.
The central castle is protected by 5 Dragons. Defeating them is not necessary but if you do manage to take the castle the Dragons will give you 1,000 Gold per day and will protect the castle from other heroes.
When you’re ready to go after the enemy heroes use the map above to find their main Castle. Taking out their starting castle will severely cripple them as they may not have upgraded their other towns. Then all you need to do is hunt down any remaining heroes to complete the mission.The Wounded Land
Objective: Find the Eye of Goros
You don’t need to worry about the other heroes too much for this mission, as long as you protect your towns and castles. You’ll begin with one Castle of your chosen Hero in one corner of the map. You should be able to expand out to one other town fairly quickly.
Resources are scattered around the map so you may not have enough to build your high level units. Gold is also difficult to find.

While ScanSnaps are designed primarily to scan documents into PDFs, there are many instances where users, including myself, use it scan photos for storage or to share with family and friends. Here is a simple way to scan photos to your Mac by creating a profile specifically for scanning photos! Important note: since the ScanSnap is built for documents, delicate photos should only be put through a scanner using a carrier sheet.
The easiest way to scan photos is to create a special profile. Start by going to your ScanSnap icon, two finger or control click to bring up the menu and go to Settings.

In Settings, uncheck the QuickMenu box in the top left corner. Then go over to Profiles on the top right hand corner and drop down the menu to create a new profile. I’ve named my profile “Photo Scanning”. Starting on the left with the Application tab, select “Photos” as the application.

Next, go to the Save tab and select Pictures (or a specific folder within Pictures) as your Save location.

To get the highest resolution images (best for re-sizing), select “Excellent” as your image quality under the Scanning tab. *Note that this level, the highest dpi, will slow down your scanning speeds a little bit. You can either use “Auto color” or “Color” for your photos. I’ll keep it as “Auto color”. Select “Single-side” for the Scanning side, unless you have notes on the back of the photos that you would like to keep.
For File Option, change the File format to “JPEG”. Now hit Apply and Save. It’s that easy!

Now that we have our profile set up, let’s talk about actually scanning your photos.
First things first… What model are you using – the iX500, iX100, or SV600? Here are a couple things to think about for each of these scanners.
The iX500– Since it is a larger scanner, you can stack a few photos in at a time. I know it can handle up to 50 sheets, but for photos, (since they are thicker and more delicate) we recommend just putting a few in at a time. Your photos should be face down and upside down. I would do batches of either portrait or landscape, so all the photos are saved the same way. Be sure to carrier sheet for the more delicate photos.
The iX100– Since you can only scan one image at a time, make sure to feed them in face up and top first, so they all save the right way. The iX100 has a straight scanning path so this scanner will be gentler with your more delicate photos, though we still recommend using a carrier sheet for them. Since this is a simplex scanner, if you have notes you would like to capture on the back, make sure to flip the picture over and scan the back side.Scansnap Ix500 Driver For Mac
The SV600– With the overhead scanner, you can put your large and/or very delicate photos on the black background with out worrying if they will be safe. You can also put 4 photos on the black background at once, and the software will save them as 4 separate images.
*Note for S1300i– Because of the paper path, we do not recommend using this scanner to scan photos.
Now that we’ve talked scanners, let’s talk organization. When scanning photos, it’s important to organize them before scanning them in. I recommend organizing them by size and orientation. I would also make a separate pile for those super delicate photos that need to be scanned with the carrier sheet.
Then, once the photos are in your desktop folder, you can import them from Google Photos, or another photo storage/sharing app to preserve in the cloud, and/or send to friends and family!
